Does the connotation of being a “NERD” appeal to you so much that you have to act a certain way? It’s a stupid trend if you really think about it.. Suddenly it’s all cool to call yourself a nerd and dress accordingly to how “nerds” dress. The very reason it’s a trend is because originally people WANTED to be smart but couldn’t do so. They compensate for such lack of wisdom through physical appearance adjustments. Being smart and educated is NOT a trend. It’s a requirement to survive the ignorance that pollutes this world. If you want to be a nerd, educate yourself or find something your passionate about and excel at that at least. Take off the non-prescription glasses and GET OVER YOURSELF!
