AWWW SNAP! I was extremely disappointed with X-Men Origins: Wolverine (see here for short reason why) and automatically became skeptical once I heard this movie was in the making. The trailer looks good I must say, especially how they’re tying the origins of the X-Men to real events (Kennedy in the 60s adds a nice overall touch).
However, I am still baffled as to why Havok (Cyclops’ younger brother) is listed in the main cast and NOT Cyclops himself. Yeah, a definite WTF. In the comics, the first class consists of the original five X-Men characters: Angel, Beast, Cyclops, Iceman and Jean Grey all under Professor X. (If you recall, the audience finally saw Angel in the third X-men movie, NOT the first movie as expected from the fan-boys). Yeah, the whole Marvel time line is just messed up thanks to Hollywood. It doesn’t make sense to me either. Why do the producers and directors have to mess up the script and story when they have many comics to emulate? Making life difficult much?
We can only hope for the best..
